Many parts of the website have been removed due to the ongoing bans and censorship on the EverQuest forums.

In April 2025, Moratorium, an anonymous and mysterious moderator, joined Angeliana as a forum moderator. Its job is to play the bad cop, doing the dirty work of a cleaner by banning users, while Angeliana became the good cop. Since Moratorium joined, permanent bans of forum accounts have been issued.

Moratorium cannot be contacted and anyone could be behind it: Like Angeliana herself, her supervisor, someone new, [Jennifer Chan] (Head of Darkpaw Studios) or even [Ji Ham] (CEO). Clearly, this was orchestrated from the very top of [Daybreak Game Company] or [Enad Global 7].

A silent war for interpretive sovereignty is raging in the background of the forums. Critical voices and forum contributions that could damage profits are being suppressed. [Daybreak] is desperately trying to maintain the illusion of happiness and harmony and distract players from the unpleasant truth:
an unattractive, aged game with major issues, like ...

    Game:

  • Players are unable to find play partners or groups.

  • New players have a poor gaming experience, which results in a high rate of player attrition and a shrinking player base.

  • Massive boxing. Many players prefer to play alone to avoid others, which is fatal to an MMORPG. [Daybreak] has supported this behavior for many years by setting no limits. Boxing means to use multiple accounts to form a group on it's own.

  • Automated player assistance by mercenaries.
This has greatly promoted boxing and solo play.

  • Unattended gameplay by using mercenaries and damage shields while being AFK.

  • Botting

  • Powerleveling

  • Players use third-party software such as ISBoxer and GINA, as well as automation scripts like MacroQuest, in order to gain advantages. [Daybreak] does not have this under control, and they even partially support it.

  • Class balance. It's been a mess for more than two decades.

  • Overpriced prices and loot boxes (gambling). Instead of providing a serious, reputable service that is also in the players' interests, the focus is on taking as much money as possible out of the players' pockets as quickly as possible. It's similar to rogue pickpocketing. Many players don't even realize this.

  • The ridiculous attempt to turn a formerly serious role-playing game into a dress-up game for children.

  • There is too much overlap between real-life (RL) and in-game events: Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, New Year's, etc. This completely goes against the idea of immersion and has nothing to do with Norrath. Add to that the satanic and political agendas, such as LGBTQ+ (Pride Month) and Earth Day (Rathe Day), despite the forum rules forbidding discussion of politics and religion. Double standards.

    Forums and Communication:

  • Poor communication, or none at all. Developers prefer to communicate over third-party software like Discord instead on the forums.

  • Double Standards: [Daybreak] does not allow its players to use third-party software, except in a few cases. Yet, the company uses it all the time.

  • Very poor diplomacy. Instead of talking to forum users when problems arise, they are simply suspended for weeks or permanently banned without being told why.

  • Lousy treatment of loyal, devoted, long-time players that have supported the game for years.

  • Sneaky forum rules that only serve the purpose of allowing the administrators to suspend or ban users at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

It's mostly under the pretext of trolling, which is so vaguely worded that anything can be considered trolling. Even mentioning trolling is considered trolling. This behavior is typical of the worst dictatorships. Best wishes to Miss Chan and Mr. Ham from Mr. Zedong.

  • It has one of the most toxic forum communities.

  • Arbitrariness by taking sides: Its moderators allow some users to engage in mini-modding, bullying, and trolling while prohibiting others from doing so. Some users are suspended for the same offense, while others never are. Some users are privileged.

  • Generally not much understanding of fun, even though it's a gaming company.

    Staff:

  • Exploitative corporate culture with serious everyday life for the employees. There are signs that bullying is also taking place from above. Top employees often leave the company after a few years.

  • The employees receive below-average pay.

  • High fluctuation among new employees.

  • [Daybreak] has a bad reputation in its industry.

  • There is serious mismanagement, with positions being filled by people who are completely unsuitable, including those in management.

Happy gaming ! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
